I'm looking for advice, or maybe a little re-assurance, and wisdom from smarter gardeners.
I planted 9 pepper plant seedlings--started in my house from seed. We've had a lot of rain lately, with more to come. We've needed the moisture, but there's a downside for my pepper plants. Three of the little fellers ended up getting covered with mud from dirt that washed over them. One of them, I was able to uncover. Another, I tried, but couldn't find it. The third I just left.
What should I do?
1.) Just wait, and trust that the little guys will grow through the mud and survive?
2.) Find seedlings in the store (greenhouse, Lowe's, wherever) and re-plant?
3.) Plant seeds in the ground where the seedlings had been?
Thanks!
