    Look! A gift from Hurricane Irma. I have never had these, never grown these, never seen them in my yard. Just found them growing among my ginger. I guess they came up in the flood waters. Finally she gave me something positive.

    Our weather is unusually abnormal. We are facing yet another cold front with high winds and rain. I can't seem to get the storm damage from Irma cleaned up and repaired. Ugh

    Supe easy! Wash and Shred your cabbage. Soak it in a heavy brine solution for about 2 hours. Pack and clean quart jars, I find Wide Mouth Jars are the best.
