Don’t be intimidated! It’s totally doable and can be fun. It sometimes takes some creativity and thinking outside the box, but we can do this! Here are 35+ pantry recipes to help you out!

Here are a few recipes that you can make using ingredients that you may already have in your pantry:
  1. Pasta with Pantry Tomato Sauce: This recipe uses canned tomatoes, garlic, and pasta as the main ingredients. Simply cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add a can of crushed tomatoes and bring the mixture to a simmer. Season with salt, pepper, and any desired herbs (such as basil or oregano). Serve the sauce over the cooked pasta and enjoy!
  2. Pantry Chili: This recipe uses canned beans, canned tomatoes, and spices as the main ingredients. In a large pot, heat some oil and sauté diced onions and minced garlic until the onions are translucent. Add a can of kidney beans (drained and rinsed), a can of diced tomatoes, and your desired spices (such as chili powder, cumin, paprika, and oregano). Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the flavors have melded together. Serve with your favorite toppings, such as grated cheese, sour cream, and sliced green onions.
  3. Pantry Fried Rice: This recipe uses cooked rice, frozen vegetables, and pantry staples as the main ingredients. Start by heating some oil in a large pan or wok. Add in your choice of frozen vegetables (such as peas, carrots, and broccoli) and cook until they are thawed and tender. Add in some cooked rice and stir to combine. Season with soy sauce, sesame oil, and any other desired spices (such as garlic powder and ginger). Serve hot and enjoy!
  4. Pantry Grilled Cheese: This recipe uses bread and cheese as the main ingredients. Simply butter the outside of two slices of bread and place a slice of cheese between them. Heat a pan over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping the sandwich halfway through cooking. Enjoy with a bowl of tomato soup or on its own as a quick and easy snack.
I hope these recipes inspire you to get creative with the ingredients you have on hand!
