A year or so ago I got this cactus from my mom. I don't know what it is. But recently it started showing what appears to be a fungus. I have little to no experience with cacti, and I really don't know what to do! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

It would be helpful if you posted a photo of your cactus!
How often do you water it?
Cactus, in general resent being overwatered, especially when not actively growing.
They also require a lot of sunlight!
