The plants are started from seeds in a greenhouse, then transplanted into the garden...where they seem to be dying.
Usually the garden is flourishing this time of year. Only difference is, there is much more manure on the garden this year. Could that burn the soil and be killing the plants?

That's the primary manure used by me in recent years and usually applied fresh. If in an established garden with already decent fertility, rate of application for pure manure would be 1 gallon per 10 square feet. If new or fallow ground, double it.

We have three horses so they provide an abundance of manure for our garden which is about 1700 square feet.
