Hm, that's a tough one. J L Hudson has Rubia tinctorum, but not akane, and that's as close as I could find.

man I searched and searched and the best I could find was a place that obtained seeds of this plant from the seed storage bank! I am wondering why this is so hard to find though, I didnt see anything that said it was endangered or anything.
