Shade garden??

I'm told a great Texas plant, Turks Cap (Malvaviscus arboreus) will bloom in shade. Also fatsia japonica, ajuga reptans, fuschias, columbines,coral bells.
 
Heleboures and hostas both need shade
Lily of the valley and Bleeding hearts do also
Those are the ones I can think of right now
