I was really suprised to see these bloom. I have had them for over 15 years and this is only the 3rd time they have bloomed. My limelite hydrangea bloomed prettier this year than every before. I just wonder if its because its been so dry until last week when we got a good rain.

The lilies are beautiful and so are all the others. I used to have surprise lilies but alas don't have any now. enjoy.

I just love it when a plant surprises me with a bloom I am not expecting. I have a type of bromeliad that only blooms about every 5 years but it is spectacular when it does. I actually had the plants about 20 years when one of them bloomed the first time for me. It was just such a treat.
thank you for sharing with us Maggie.

The surprise lilly's are blooming now in our neighborhood. I don't have any but I know where they will pop up, still catches me off guard sometimes. Nice shade of pink.
