I would love to get a head or two of garlic that is hardy in zone 5
If you dig your garlic this fall and have extra please keep me in mind.

That's funny, except that it doesn't get that cool for long periods of time here. Garlic likes cooler temps ,So we plant at the begining of our cool season ( Oct - March , maybe april and harvest when it starts to get too hot, around May.
 
I've been planting around mid October and harvest just before it blooms in July. Both times I did this there was a little above ground growth by the time snow flew. I grow hardneck garlic.
