It was COLD last night!! -35 windchill!!!
This morning looking south towards the lake there is a dark band of billowing clouds growing due to lake effect...a 1/2 mile from here is a wall of white...from developing squalls moving east...interesting to watch! It is still very windy and there is still a lot of blowing snow here....Strong winds out of the west are expected to continue this morning and afternoon with drifting and blowing snow...maybe snow it the huge squall band moves a few miles inland....
1F with 11 mph+ winds out of the west....windchill -15....sunny to the north and dark clouds to the south...
Squall line just moved north and we now have whiteout conditions!!! I was expecting this!!! Winds have picked up too!
5 for this afternoon...winds shifting out of the SW at 22 mph+ which will, more then likely, bring squalls inland....should be interesting to see this happen...add these winds to the snowfall and we'll have more whiteout conditions...windchill -15.
1 this evening with winds shifting back out of the west at 18 mph.....windchill -20. snow and squall activity will stop as the winds shift.
-4 overnight....winds easing off to 13 mph and lessening by morning...windchill -22.

Tomorrow it starts to warm....12 tomorrow...Sat 36, Sun 37, Mon 45, Tues 36!!!

gosh Ron I was thinking of you with this weather. we have had zero the past few days and it doesnt go much higher than about 12. we had some wind but not like they said. I had gotten a new battery for my car so I was ok, but lots of cars werent starting around here. its going to start warming up a bit slowly this weekend and by tues its supposed to be 50. this yrs weather makes no sense. the ground hog says it will be an early spring. dont pay too much attention to that creature, but I sure hope this yr he is right.

It was a nice break from the nasty arctic cold.....but now it is coming back!
Freezing Rain Warning issued and it's happening...started a few hours ago and everything has a, so far, a thin layer of ice...Expected to continue for most of today....we won't get it as bad as inland to the north and expecting the freezing rain to change over to rain this evening. Very little traffic and only road crew trucks going by to salt and sand the roads....everything is basically shut down except for emergency vehicles!

28 with freezing drizzle.... very light winds out of the east...windchill 27.
34 this afternoon with freezing rain...winds shifting out of the north...could see a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice build up...windchill 28.
34 this evening with freezing rain changing over to rain....windchill 25.
30 overnight with ice fog...winds shift out of the NE....windchill 21.
32 by morning with fog...windchill 23......45 for the high tomorrow as a warm front passes through....with light rain..then downhill.....

hate those icey roads, so scarey. we had rain and its staying about 40 during the day. tons of melting going on here. today is grey, drizzle and foggy but we are almost at 40 again. they are not talking any snow or ice until early next week. feb is a short month, hope it goes fast and isnt too nasty for us.

It was a constant drizzle with periods of freezing rain....we got off lightly compared to those living to the north and NE of us.....
Everything had a coating of ice yesterday...most people were smart and stayed off the roads. Could see a short period of more freezing rain later on today after a cold front passes through...probably late evening. Hope not...winds will be nasty!

30 and overcast....with barely a hint of a breeze out of the north...freezing possible until the temp goes up.
41 this afternoon with light rain....light winds out of the NE..windchill 37....hoping all the ice melts off the trees.
45 this evening..rain...winds picking up to 19 mph out of the SE...windchill 37....ice should be gone..
30 overnight with shower/freezing rain...winds out of the SW at 29+ mph....
27 for tomorrow with isolated flurries/blowing snow...winds out of the SW at 32+ mph.....

After freezing fog settled in for the afternoon everything got another layer of ice....was worried about all the ice build up and the approaching cold front which moved in with strong gale force winds....The temp shot up to 54 by mid evening and nicely melted it all...Wind Warning Issued...Winds overnight were gusty and this morning the winds are peaking at 60 mph. No trees down, or power outages ...
25 with flurries ....windchill 10...winds out of the west at 30+mph......with gusts 50-60 mph.
25 this afternoon...partly sunny....windchill 7....very windy...
19 for this evening...winds start easing off ...windchill 1.
18 overnight...winds moderate with some higher gusts...windchill 1...
