Looks like we are in for a major storm system coming in off of the Gulf of Mexico!!
Heavy rains and strong winds ....it arrives this evening and will bring inches of rain overnight and into tomorrow, with possibly damaging winds!

We have been having a good stretch of weather for the past few days even saw almost 70 on Thurs which is odd for this time of yr, my roses are still bloomimg along with my geraniums. Heavy rain for today.
 
61 this morning! Had heavy downpours overnight...a good 3 inches fell, and more is coming down! The rains will end later on this morning....then the winds roar in! Expecting winds peaking between 50-60 mph coming in out of the SW, right off the lake! Should die down later afternoon as Tropical Storm Olga moves out!

Horrific winds yesterday afternoon! thankfully it ended by late afternoon! Reports of flooding along the shore of Lake Erie...a few resort and summer towns were flooded from the storm surge and there was erosion damage along the shore line in most areas.
I am so grateful I live away from the lake!

Still in the low 60s here, might hit 70 on Halloween but torrential rains followed by high winds. Sure has been a warm October, not complaining about that sure saves me money on heating

Latest system is moving in! Rain starts this afternoon, won't get much today, but tomorrow....looks like inches with heavy downpours! After the rain, the wind event begins late evening tomorrow....looking 30-40 mph sustained winds with 50 and 60 mph gusts!

Wind warning and heavy rain warning issued! We're in for it! Rain 1-2 inches...possibly more locally this afternoon, evening and overnight. Winds begin this evening....looking at 40 to 60 mph out of the SW....this evening and overnight....Gusts could be higher since they will be coming in off the lake!

It was nasty for the last day of October! It was even nastier for the beginning of November! Had gale force winds yesterday evening...in the 50 to 60 mph range! By Midnight the winds increased to 60 to 70+ mph with a roar and a lot of booming and banging!! It lasted for hours and almost cleared off my balcony...Butt can went first..then my metal folding chair...found it at the bottom of the stairs this morning....my marble Round table got knocked over so grabbed it and brought it inside as well as a few potted plants...not in good shape! Need to do some cleaning up this morning once the winds die down! Winds are still in the 25 to 30 mph range... but easing off. This is the worst windstorm since moving here 4 years ago.....I can just imagine what it was like along the lakeshore....They were saying 20 foot waves occurred with flooding in low areas....lots of erosion damage to properties was expected....will check FB for photos!
