It's cold and windy here. Temp is 20° and with the wind chill it feels like 11°. Too cold too early, it feels like it's Jan. Maybe winter is almost over, one can hope right? :) We have not had any snow like others have. Thank goodness as we had plenty last winter. We do need some for the plants as they need the protection that the snow gives. Praying we have a nice short winter and not lots of snow.

It's pretty cold here in the high 30's low 40's. I am also hoping for a short winter but not for the snow I hate having to drive in it.

It's cold here to. We have really had some cold weather so early for us to. It's suppose to rain tonight and be in the 50's tomorrow and then drop back into the 40's for the rest of the week. Last week be had temps. in the teens at night and 30's in the day time. I don't like cold weather at all.

It's cold everywhere and it's way to early for it to be this cold. Thank goodness oil prices dropped over $2 a gallon and they can continue to drop until they get to where they should be. The farmers almanac said we were going to have a cold winter. Sure hope they are wrong. Lots of people are saying that they are getting Jan temps. Texas, FL, the NE states, instead of Nov temps

Highs in the low 60's to high 50's, lows in the low 40's to high 30's.
Partly cloudy with an 80% chance of rain.

I live in Seattle, so that should work for the next 3 months or so...:)

Netherlands Weather!

Hi All

The weather here in the netherlands (Holland) is blue skies and sun and a temp of 2C.

On saturday it was snowing a real gale here, and I was out with the orchestra in it to celebrate Sint Claus and Zwarte Piet (a dutch thingie for the children but the whole nation celebrates it )

Now I have areal sore throat and a cotton wool brain ! guess some one coughed or sneezed on me saturday . Oh well cannot expect to stay bug free all the year round I suppose !! :)

It is kinda quiet around here where is everyone?

It's a cool 30 degrees here, suppose to reach 60 today. Sun has just peeked out and looking like it's going to be a nice day. Rain on the way tonight but moving out by Tuesday. Turkey day has the promise of a nice day for us.

Well someone told me a lie. They said we lived in Florida. The recent freezes we have had tell me I need to change zip codes. We have been having record breaking cold the last 2 weeks. I am not a fan. But at least the garden seems to be ok. Turnips, broccoli , onions and even cilantro are all doing well. Should be pulling some carrots this week too!

HA...the weather thread is here already and busy too!!! The weather is such a common and interesting topic amongst gardeners....we are at Mother Nature's mercy when it comes to the weather!!! Sooo - we got hit last week by a freek snowstorm on Wednesday...and can you believe, I actually had all my yard work done for the fall - however, I was hoping for a couple more weeks to get "extra" stuff done! One never knows in this neck of the woods. Then, Friday night, another storm came through, dumping another 6" of the white stuff on us. I have had it with winter - but, wait a minute - it is not even winter yet:rolleyes:
So - Mainey - I'll be checking in here to see what your weather is like, as we normally get your trends 24 hours later!!!

That's like the old joke about single guys. Thank God for the weather or most of them couldn't start a conversation...

I was in Milwaukee two weeks ago at a convention. They joked they were going to show us all 4 seasons in one week. Well, we thought they were joking. Monday and Tuesday were sunny and temps in the 60's. By Sunday when I left it was snowing. So they got Summer, fall and winter, and maybe spring was on Thursday when I was in meetings all day. ;)

We got our first snowfall last week! It melted away on the weekend and then had few dustings of snow!
Everything that was holding on in the garden finally gave up with the deep freeze!
This has never been my favorite time of the year!!

I dispise winter too Ron - however, we have to get through it to find spring again!!!! This year, I got all my weeding and deadheading done before the snow fell....just thought I would have a couple more weeks to do some "extras" in the garden, but no....the snow came earlier than anticipated!

This is really weird as I did not post this.

I did... The "Quote" and "Edit" buttons are side by side forum admins.

So, you can very easily hit "Edit" instead of "Quote". Of course your original message then shows up, but since I'm thinking I hit "Quote" that doesn't surprise me. So I merrily edit what I think is a quote, while actually editing your orginal message instead.

So, no mystery there, except to have it point out that I do have to find out how to get it to say "edited by" when a mod or admin edits a message. I would have thought that was the default, and I need to get that working.
