That's really awesome! :) I read a lot about those but I haven't tried to grow one yet. I might this year.
Your neighborhood looks good too. :) It's great to see you back and doing that well after that hurricane. That was the worst storm I ever read about!
 
very nice. I like them and even grew one over to the next winter only to have it die just as the leaves were turning red again. Dumb me forgot to bring it in.
 
My uncle had one he planted in the yard and it was HUGE! 3 people couldn't put their arms around it and it was taller than the house. I have 2 I was just given and I will be planting them outside. Plant them on the southern side of the house in partial shade. They like well drained soil with good loam.
My neighbor keeps hers in a very large pot by her front door. She keeps it trimmed back as a med size bush. Looks really nice.
 
Yes be great if we could grow them outdoors but our climate they would not survive.

But would it change it for the world still love seasons.
