I have a shrub (not sure what it's called, see the red circle in the pic): http://paulrittman.com/replant.JPG
There are two in my flower bed, and they are crowding out a couple of rose bushes. I want to move this if I can, and replant it in a bare spot in the flower bed, but I don't want to risk digging up the rose bushes' roots.
Should I just assume that the rose bush would be irreparably harmed, and apply a chemical that would kill off this shrub (instead of digging)? I would prefer to dig these shrubs up and replant them, so they and the roses both can thrive.
