Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great summer, I know I am. :)

I am currently redoing my parents front yard. And relatively easy project, but fun nonetheless. I'm not doing too much, just taking out some old hedges, adding a bunch of perennials (tropical theme) and flowers. And he biggest, a lil fountain. :)

Here are some before. Just got the fountain today and gonna install it tomorrow.

Thread is a build in process :)

How fun to help your folks.
I love the fountain.... Have fun doing the work.
Can't wait to see more pics.

Cool job! I bet your parents are very happy about this. I love fountains and running water sounds near the front door. They are so welcoming.
Can't wait to see the new pics! Be sure to keep us up dated.

Thanks guys! Just finished installing the fountain and I am SO glad I chose the colors and style. Works wonderfully w the color of the house and w the ideas that are going crazy in my head! Mom and dad LOVE it. Tehehe they have no idea what's comin next!

Will update as I go, but here's the fountain installed in it's new home.

Next: going to follow that dark bare spot that was once a weeping willow tree. I'm gonna fill it in w some 1" - 2" smooth rocks...

When I said your area I just meant so. CA. Hey it's nearly 600 miles from home so that put me in your area. :)

Looking good. I would settle for getting my grass cut :(
Wish you were my son ! LOL.
Here's the kicker, my son has a landscape company and is so busy he can't cut my grass!

Updates: Just about done with all the stones around the fountain. Maybe more filler here and there. I removed the plants in the 3' wall planter and added 2 cana lilys. I'm going to add one more in the middle to fill it in. I also added some dwarf lily of the niles around the brick planter. It's getting there! Glad it was only 86* tops in Calabasas, CA. They get the ocean breeze :)

Don't mind the iPhone photos. The setting seems to make everything like less colorful and dry. Ill get better pics soon!

Thanks crabbie! I sure have.

Yea the lily of the Nile is a beauty. These are dwarfs. I'm gonna add some lilys and other bright and colorful perennials in the planter once it cools down. This has been a very fun and easy project. I may do some of my parents friends yards as well. We'll see!! :)

Added one last Canna lily to fill in. Now to watch em grow :)
