My husband is painting the trim work in our home with latex paint. We have a septic system. I have read not to wash in the sink, but other sites say it can be okay depending on your local utility company. My husband says its fine and he will wash in the sink. He isn't worried about damaging our septic tank. I am concerned about our garden. I follow organic practices as much as possible. The field beds are parallel to the garden. I'm wondering if a little paint would make its way over to our garden. We have a small child who will be eating from the garden as well.
