what's with the oddly shaped strawberries?

so i have about 10 strawberry plants. most are producing oddly shaped berries, the only one that is producing berries regular shaped strawberries is one in a raised self watering planter i made, is this from inconsistent watering or something?

not really. I am in oregon, it varies from 50 to 85 day to day sometimes. I don't think it's broken 85 yet this year
 
What part of Oregon, Ben C? I live just outside of Newberg, southwest of Portland.
