I have four woodpeckers coming to the feeders each day, The males and females of three of them come, just the female pileated though. This is the male flicker.

Here's a crazy little tale I put together which includes a number of sayings referring to birds. How many can you spot?

For those that don't mind spider, here is a good one. Woodlouse Spider, Dysdera crocata. Its main food are those pill bugs or rolly poly bugs, those things that roll into a ball when disturbed. Another spider tomorrow. I know, you can't wait.

Not too much interest in the daily insect and fungi so how about a daily bird. All taken on the sun deck.

We usually have a little snow each winter. I take a few pictures of the birds. Our snow this year has gone now.
