On our trip back to Ohio a few years back, I saw fields of soybeans. I knew what they were but we don't have them like that here in Oregon. I assume there are some, but I haven't seen any.

Soy is good for you, but like with all things moderation is good. They say some men develop breast if the drink too much soy milk.
Soy beans are really good fresh from the shell , slightly microwaved , great snack and I like them roasted in a salad too. Wal Mart carries the roasted soy beans.

Randy..the elementary school my grandsons go to has corn field on 1 side and soybean field on the other. The school is down the road from us..its pretty cool. Thats my Ohio ☺

It's amazine what 'they' can make from soybeans. It reminds me of George Washington Carver who made so many things from peanuts.

Geez, and I thought peanuts was a cartoon strip in the newspaper :)! MTM went to our recycling plant for a tour of it and he came home THOROUGHLY astounded at what they make from the things we recycled. It annoys me when people don't recycle (like the person who lives VERY close to me (like right nextdoor). They use styrofoam plates and those big red plastic cups. If they recycled, we'd all have new soles on our shoes. All they do is contribute to the landfill. We recycle all of our tree clippings and then we get free mulch. I love going to our dump. HUGE pieces of equipment! Watching them make mulch...awesome. It's HIGHLY organized ~ computer parts here, oil and paint here. 'brush' here, bicycles here, You can laugh at this ~ MTM and my first date was --- to this dump! We saw a groundhog, too. I had a great time! Guess I'm easily entertained. Nothing like a curb :) ~

Well, we sure know our beans :) I know what the soybean plant looks like but I do not know what the bean looks like. Thanks , Ron. :) Curbie

Me, too, Bob ! HOWEVER, I go anywhere else. Scotkat is doing great and I am a scaredy kat. I have a well established yard, thanks to folks here (including my new hobby ~ this stupid banana plantation......thanks Trax :) Ordered one and end up with 7....) Keep looking Scotkat! Bob's a great guy for putting up with us (well, me:) ). Curbie

I enjoyed the readings about tea, I too am a big tea drinker...I'd like to know where one can buy loose tea in the containers with out being bagged. I know Lipton sells loose tea which is awsome, great color too. I was thinking about the loose herbal teas with out the bags. I can never find them at the grocery stores....Also I didn't know that mosaic virus can be transmitted to tomatoes from smoking cigerettes interesting. That is as far as I read. Glad to be back and hope to join in more often for a longer time in between. My life was very hectic. So hopefully it is back on track take care all.

Well, at least THIS part of your life is back on track. My Grandma used a 'teaball' for loose tea. I use teabags ~ ONLY RED ROSE teabags ~ orange pekoe. I really do not like Lipton. I am a true teabag person. I make the best iced tea ~ 4 teabags in a gallon of hot water. MTM takes it to work every day in his 'GatorEgg' bottle. Tea needs to be clear. We've been in restaurants and I ask for iced tea and if it's cloudy......oh no. Freshly made tea is clear. Ok, call me fussy. OH.... and ALWAYS 'brew' it in a glass<<< container. I would carry a glass container to Pittsburgh and MTM would say,"I know.....you brought teabags." Glass container. We should have a Tea Party! (Are they politicians now ~ Tea for 2 and 2 for tea.) Curbie :)

My favorite if Tetley tea!
PG Tips is a close runner up for bagged tea!
Red Rose is a close third!

Good morning Bob and all

Scotkat
