The El Nino is all set and in place, but the interaction with the atmosphere and EN weather patterns is not there yet!!
32 going up to 39.....mostly overcast with rain/showers on the way for this afternoon, overnight and into tomorrow.....
Winds are light out of the SE.....

we had some snow showers last night, then turned to sleet as it warmed up and this morning rain and 35. very foggy as well.

Thankfully the SW'erly winds have died down.....it was a noisy night with the pounding surf!

Overcast with a light 15 mph wind out of the north...
30F...might get up to 32 ...maybe....
Snow for this evening right through tomorrow...could see 4 to 8 inches.....clearing up and sunny for Friday...

it poured rain yesterday, and in the mtns it poured snow. well over a foot there. it warmed up yesterday, but today we are starting to drop in temps, and may get to see snow lateron.

snow started here about 4pm and came down with a vengance for for 3 hours. only got an inch tho. just saw the sander out in our parking lot.
sun mon and tues will be 43. that should take care of any snow left around.

The snow started around 4 am and it hasn't stopped since...
Got 4"s so far.....they are calling for 15 mph winds out of the NW that will blow the snow around...
27 is our high and low for today...
Could get another 4"s by the time the snow stops tonight...
Should have a meltdown starting tomorrow with a high of 36 and sun.....

After all the snow we finished the day with a spectacular sunset!!

awesome pics Ron, thanks for sharing them. everything looks so beautiful up by you. all our snow melted, and it was 37 for a high today, but the winds picked up late afternoon. tomorrow will be 40.

With the mild temps most of the snow is gone and will be completely gone by this evening....
Still cloudy and haven't seen any sun, and wont for the next few days!
37 going up to 43.....very light wind out of the west....it'll be a damp day like yesterday...

Ron those pictures were so beautiful!! that sunset was just amazing!!
we have a sunny weekend again after a week of rain. It was sunny last weekend too, that's so nice for the people who work all week! With the clear weather came the cold, although it did not get down to freezing last night. When you watch the weather, either up here or down from Los Angeles...the weather system that is giving them and us all the rain is just huge! it is the pineapple express from hawaii, so it is quite warm for us. there was some flooding and some mudslides, wind like crazy knocking down trees, part of our back fence got blown over, so the sun this weekend is really nice!

Thanks Woodie and Janet!...that sunset lasted a good 1/2 hour...if I waited for the sunset before take the snowscape the snow would have been pink....missed my moment but caught the peak color of the sunset....

You guys have been hammered....glad I live where I do because it has been pretty boring other then last week with the day long snowfall!!!
Pretty mild today and slowly warming....not a drastic warm up ...just a few degrees above normal for this time of the year...it will be nice to see the sun again......
Looks like El Nino is having an effect on the weather ......should be a mild winter here since a good EN will keep the jetstream up north...I need a break after last winter!!
